My name is Jos Hordijk and I live in The Netherlands in de city of Eindhoven.
My first contact with the dog scene was when I was 15 years old in a kennel Bouvier de Flanders.
That's were I noticed how to work with bloodlines, breeding, qualities within a breed, how to raise puppies ect.
My first dog with pedigree was an Afghan Hound and soon after that a few more came and formed the basis of my Afghan breeding program.
In 1975 I required for my kennel name Ben Mazar-I-Sharif ...Ben means something like child of and Mazar-I-Sharif is a city in the north of Afganistan.
Maybe to long a name but I am used to it now so I won't change it.
Around 1979 I came in contact with Anne Matthews of the Hardacre fame and my first TT's came from her kennel Ch Hardacre Pearly King and Ch Chiangtzu Belinda of Hardacre.
My first Lhasa Apso was Ch Hardacre Last Word...he was the last puppy out of his famous mother Ch Tungwei of Coburg.
After years of breeding and showing them I stopped with the Afghans.
My latest Lhasa Apso litter was the K litter in 1997...Jon had Kashgar Ben Mazar-I-Sharif and we tried to have puppies out of her but that did not work out...she became Dutch Veteran Ch, Dutch Ch and CW...was BIS at the clubshow and this all out of the Veteran class.
After some years I started with Lhasa Apso's again....from 2007 I have Junior en My Way vh Leerthouwerhof who lives at Jon's place and the Family Feyen gave me Dharmakaya GyiLin who became Dutch German and International Ch.
For my L and M litter I used Ch Kirashu Ilan Rolli, a son of Ch Josephine Ben Mazar-I-Sharif, it formed my restart within the breed.
Thanks to Maria and Martina the males Lammi Leedya Ben Mazar-I-Sharif and No-Nono Ben Mazar-I-Sharif are Champion now.
Kai-La-Sha Sharif's Emma is Ch now as well as Dharmakaya GyiLin...they all form the Ben Mazar-I-Sharif team.
